Privacy Policy

PageVeyor is a PDF reading and study assistant. It comes in two products — an Android app and a Chrome extension — that share the same data in your own Google Drive. This page describes what both products have in common. Each product also handles data the other one does not, so each has its own detailed policy.

What PageVeyor handles

• PDF files you open or upload, along with their page images and extracted text
• AI-generated page notes, document summaries, and study material
• Library structure — your folder and document lists
• API keys you enter for your chosen AI provider, and any custom base URL or model name
• Google account authorization used to reach your Drive

Where your data is stored

Synced content lives in a PageVeyor folder in your own Google Drive (for example PageVeyor/PDFs and PageVeyor/Markdown). The folder belongs to your account, is visible to you, and is what lets both products show the same documents.

Everything else stays on the device you are using. The two products store local data differently — see the app policy and the extension policy.

Google user data and the drive.file scope

PageVeyor requests only Google's per-file access scope, drive.file. That scope limits access to files PageVeyor itself creates and to files or folders you explicitly select — in the extension, the PageVeyor folder you choose in the Google Picker. PageVeyor cannot see the rest of your Drive.

PageVeyor's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Third-party AI providers

Analysis runs on an AI provider that you choose and that you supply your own API key for. When you run an analysis, the relevant page image, extracted text, surrounding page context, and your question may be sent to that provider. Requests go from your device straight to the provider.

The two products support different provider lists; see their individual policies. Your data is handled by that provider under that provider's own privacy policy and terms.

AI output can be inaccurate. Verify anything important against the original PDF. PageVeyor is not an official Google or Gemini product and is not affiliated with Google.

Your data does not pass through PageVeyor servers

PDF content, analysis results, and AI requests travel directly between your device and Google Drive, and between your device and the AI provider you selected. PageVeyor does not operate a backend that collects or stores this data. The pages on pageveyor.com are static; the one exception is described in the extension policy, where a helper page renders Google's file picker in the browser.

Deleting your data

Drive content is under your control: delete the PageVeyor folder in Google Drive, or disconnect PageVeyor from your Google account. Removing local data differs per product — see the app policy and the extension policy.
